Mm...am using standard Apple charger. No fast charger. Not sure if that is a factor. However, my 8 month usage is light to moderate. For videos, I normally just use Youtube. No Netflix. The small screen is just not apt for long video watching. I usually recharge once I reach 20 to 50% and always remove the phone from the charger once I reach 95 to 100%. I do use the car charger when I am driving and when using Waze (huge battery hog).
To prolong the lifespan of lithium ion batteries you must never expose it to extreme temperatures. Do not deplete it’s charge, as much as possible try to charge your battery when it hits 20%. Do not charge it to 100% as well, charge it to around 80%. You will extend the lifespan of your battery but is it worth the hassle????
I charge a lot everyday too. But i only use wireless charging. And i am still at 100% battery health.
Fast charging is a factor also for the deteriorating battery health. Mine is under heavy usage (bluetooth on all the time for apple watch, and LTE on)
Mm...my data connection and bluetooth for my Watch (need it for the heart monitor) are also activated 24/7.
Mine's @ 90%. Mixed charging. I don't actually have a set schedule for charging, as long as there's a plug, I usually plug it in, or lay it on a wireless charger to preserve the charge. Battery life is not what it used to be and I can tell. If I go a day without charging, I'll be left with 20% by 5PM where previously I could get 30% easy. *Apple Watch & AirPods almost always connected* 18W Fast Charger for travels & when needed. 5W Wireless charging when on night stand/work desk (2 units) 7.5W Honda Carplay unit when on the road. Fast charger may be the main culprit for faster degradation, if you can tolerate the speed, the 5W charger is the way to go to preserve battery health, or at least slow down the process. I'm actually trying to beat the clock and have it around 80% by december just so the discounted battery replacement is well worth it.
It is September once again, and new iPhones will be introduced again. And I’m happy that my x is still showing 100% battery health. I also use wireless charging, and i always put it on top the charging mat whenever i am not using it. I dont charge using cables anymore.
I’ve been having multiple drops in WiFi on my IPhoneX. My old 5s connects to WiFi faster and I’m left with toggling WiFi switch off then on just for my IPhoneX to connect. Sometimes the toggle is even unresponsive as the phone continuously loops on trying to connect. Anybody with similar issues and corresponding solution?
iPhone X owners rejoice! not much changed with the XS except for the processor and the new XS Max. a lot of the new features are software-based, which i assume the A11 Bionic can also do albeit slower.
The new iPhone XS camera helps achieve depth of field/bokeh effect. Is it possible that the same feature be integrated in the next software update? Or is this more of a camera capability? Sorry I am a bit dumb when it comes to these technicalities. But I always like a good bokeh effect. Do you have any suggestions how to do it in the iPhone X? Thanks a ton!
And to contribute to battery health reports here, I got my iPhone thru a Smart contract 18 December 2017. Currently, maximum capacity = 96%. It got me worried at first too (thought my phone may be "defective"), but realized many people are reporting the same observation. Perhaps on its anniversary it will be at maximum capacity 90%?
Portrait mode produces bokeh. If you want to have camera controls, you have to download thirdparty apps (ie. Obscura 2)
