Hi guys, is there a way i can back up or save my SMS Threads? I have some really important conversations i need to save. Thanks!

BTW, I already tried using the search function, but the fatal error page appeared.

    Hi Jaijin,

If you can navigate to your ROOT directory using any available online utility (I use DiskAid for Windows PC), you can backup your SMS thread.

    Just navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library/SMS
    then backup the sms.db file.

That contains all your existing threads.

    I hope this helps.

Phoneview. Also, thread about this topic is here. Try using Advanced Search when the normal search box results to an error.

jaijin, use PhoneView. It can backup your SMS as a text file. This does not require breaking prison doors. You can then use PhoneView again to load the SMS text file onto your iPhone's Notes.

if the prison doors are broken, you can backup the SMS.db file itself as RRM0221 said. This way, you can reload the SMS.db file onto your iPhone in the future if you desire.

Agree with Yves, Jaijin it looks like you're using an older version.

The current version shows "Web" under "SMS". Ringtones uses a Bell icon versus a megaphone.

i'd suggest u use iTextuploader - it's like the gmail of sms, which means all your sms' are stored on a web server (secure) and can be downloaded using your iphone or any mac/pc/laptop using an internet browser (anywhere, anytime). i've been using it. highly recommended.

what's nice is that when you retrieve the messages, it all comes out as threaded sms pa.

u need a JB phone, and u can download via Cy***.
