    Hello,

I'm having temperature problems with my iPhone 13 Pro and to be specific, the following happens:
    1. It gets hot just beside and under the camera lenses. (please see Fig. 1)
    2. I can't even open any applications over the period of time it gets hot
      - The hotter it gets, the slower it performs (the screen hangs)
This happens almost daily now, even when the phone is just idle.

The workaround I've been trying to do is to restart the phone when it happens and everything just goes back to normal, but still we can expect that it'll still happen later on.

I have already scheduled an appointment with an Apple-authorized repairs and services.

But before going, I would like to know if:
    1. Is this a normal with the iPhones? (I'm a first time user)
    2. If it's not, then should my phone be repaired or should I opt for a replacement?
    3. I only bought this phone on March 2022 (it's May 2022 now) should the costs be covered by the warranty if ever?
That is all I would like to know.

Thank you for those who'll be providing help! :)

    1. No, it’s not normal. It will usually get hotter than normal if you are doing a cpu/gpu intensive task such as gaming, 4k video recording.
    2. It really depends on the decision of Apple if they will repair it or replace it. You can always push Apple for a replacement but again it depends on them.
    3. It should be 100% covered unless you did something that will void the warranty (ex: water damage).

Have you tried factory resetting the phone? Might be a software issue at first, so Isolate before doing any hardware checks.

When this happens normally there is an app in the background which is blocking something. After a normal restart it will ok until you use this app again.

You should be able to resolv it as followed:
    1. Close all Apps in the Background
    2. Do a Soft Reset (Press Volume up once, Press Volume Down Once then press and Hold the powerbutton until the Apple Logo appears).

Most of the time this issue did not return. It could also be if you are a new user and syncing a lot of Photos or Music in the background that this is causing the heat. It will go over after 2-3 days normally.

Not normal. My iPhone 13 Pro does not get hot when idle and I've never encountered thermal throttling under normal use.
