Yup, pre-orders have their own claiming area, outside of the store (at least, that was the case at SM Aura). There were more than a dozen in the line by the time we were done. The regular line to the store was probably double that.
Got my 12 Pro Max pre-order from Smart earlier this morning. Don’t know if me lang but I’m not seeing a “5G” option under Cellular data settings. Also not getting a 5G signal despite being in a 5G area (Legaspi Village, Makati). Pre-ordered at the Legaspi RCB store also. EDIT: My fault for not back reading but apparently a software update might fix the issue. Will give it a try now
software update and then get the carrier settings update... working now got 5G here in QC, surprised actually to get one here, 120mbps download not exactly 5G speeds but it sure beats our 100mbps fiber connection hehe
That data usage for a single speed test exceeds my entire month's usage during the height of the quarantine! Won't be surprised if there would be people who will unknowingly exhaust their monthly data allowances in days.
Mm...one 90 minute netflix movie at 720p HD quality consumes 3-4 GB of data. Data allowance gone too soon.
Haha thank god for truly unlimited corporate plans. Good thing Smart allows the plan to be transferred directly to the employee. 2k/mo for unli data no throttling and unli call & text.
To those who already get their iphone 12, do you still intend to buy a new adaptor for charging your phone or will just use your old 5w charger before?
Mm...sticking with my Anker hub for all my charging needs including the iPhone. One hub to rule them all.
Any modern usb-PD charger will work, even ones from Android as long as they are 20w and above, it will charge your iPhone at full speed. Even your macbook charger will work (the modern ones with removable cables). I currently use any of the ff: Samsung note charger which is 25w, 29w apple charger, 60w apple charger, Anker USB-PD hub. If you want something more cost friendly, Anker sends really good USB-PD chargers with varying voltages and ports. They are excellent quality and don't cost an arm and a leg.
