    Personal thoughts & insights.
    • Globe & Smart will probably ship it by late October.
    • Disappointed that base model is still 64GB unlike Samsung & Huawei where they start at 256GB
    • iPhone 11 is $50 cheaper than last year's XR... why can't the Pros be $100 cheaper than last year's Xs & Xs Max? ;)
    • Apple finally bundles a 18W charger... I wonder if the this iPhone can charge faster with a 30W, 61W or 87W charger

I honestly am more impressed with the new additions to this phone over the 11 Pros. This being around $700 is a nice deal if you want a great iPhone! The UWA lens over the zooming lens is such a nice choice, esp for travellers.
The only gripe is the LCD screen, but it that looks good in person nonetheless.

Same! I’m honestly leaning more towards iP11 rather than the Pros. The backside is really turning me off. Ugh.

Apple Store PH have dropped the price of the XR to ₱41k. Probably the iPhone 11 will start at ₱46k. Nowhere near the US price tag.

Which is why we're getting an HK unit. Priced right, and will be coming with dual physical sim tray. The problem will be warranty, but honestly, never had an iPhone conk out on me.

How much cheaper is it in HK compared to Manila pricing?

    Probably around ₱6k. It's HKD5999 which is around ₱39-40k.

Better not expect HK to be opening up its stores soon. Tourism is down 70% and the economy is in shambles now. Most stores and malls have closed, yes, including our friendly neighborhood Apple Store. I actually fear if the iPhone 11s are released in HK and a line forms outside, the police might think it’s a protest and break it up, which is not far-fetched at this point in time. The police has actually “banned” public gatherings in high-profile places, and very likely could affect even the weekly gatherings of Filipino OFWs.

So let’s pray for a respite in protests, let the Apple Store and resellers open up and allow us to grab our Apple devices.

Here's the thing - it used to be that PH Repair services honor HK models since they're exactly the same as the PH models. However, now the HK models have two nanoSIMs - not the same as the PH models. Anybody with HK model iPhone XR, XS or XS Max tried asking for support from PowerMac or BTB? AFAIK, US models are not serviceable locally - because of NTC restrictions (according to PMC, they won't be able to get the parts),

The price drop is a nice surprise. They might have been able to cut costs throughout their supply chain sources. After all, the Liquid Retina Display is already on it's second year of production while front glass, aluminum body and internal layout is about the same (except for the addition of new cameras and better glass strength).

Seriously, I love (yes, still love) my XR and I'm excited about the prospect that Apple is bucking the trend with regards on having a flagship be $1000. Welcome to the mid-range flagship era.

Does anyone know if the pre-order date of Sept 13 applies to PH as well?

Late October because our country cannot hit the quota that will allow a Sept 13 pre-order.

    In the Box
    • iPhone with iOS 13
    • EarPods with Lightning Connector
    • Lightning to USB Cable
    • USB Power Adapter
    • Documentation

There is my favorite online HK store that delivers phones here in PH.

Around 5-7 working days before it arrives here.

Cheap Xiaomi, Sony, Samsung and Apple phones can be purchased here.

    No warranty.

Interesting, so the 18W charger in the box will not be a PD?
