LTE band 28 is not everywhere. any iPhone model will do fine since most people have a powerbank already.
Yes. Check here for other countries with that offers iPhone with LTE Band 28. https://www.apple.com/sg/iphone/LTE/ If you can see a cell tower with huge rectangular panel antenna like the one below pretty sure it has LTE Band 28. Sadly though iPhone cannot be force to connect using LTE Band 28 and will always choose the strongest signal.
I tried migrating my iPhone X to my new iPhone 11 Pro Max and now it’s stuck showing the apple logo with progress bar almost complete for more than hour now
Dis you Upgrade your iPhones to iOS 13.1.3 before restoring? They had a bug before for some users. They should have fixed it with the latest release according to the changelog.
Yes I did. it prompted to update before I was able to migrate. I’ve fixed it now. I’ve put it into recovery mode then it kinda fixed itself
need to upgrade the new phone to the newest OS also since the back up might not match the destination phone's OS version.
Is it advisable to buy an iPhone from an Apple Store in Japan? Aside from the camera shutter sound that can never be turned off, is there any other reason not to buy? If I do buy from the Apple Store there, do they have the tax-free thing for tourists?
I don't think there are other major issues aside from the shutter. Just bring your passport and you can avail of tax free pricing.
Kinda regretted buying the HK model because of the LTE issue. My Note 9 picks up signals easily but my Pro Max can’t. Also, for those who have the A2220 model are you experiencing slow wifi issues?
Mm...never had any problems with the Xs Max and now the iPhone 11 Pro Max with LTE.....both phones dual nano sim (China phones).....in PH, HK, SG, Japan and US. No wifi problems at home (still getting the full 150 Mbps plus minus on Fiber) or outside wifi. Try reset network.
Hi all! I’m currently here in Tokyo (Ginza, as I type this), and I noticed that all iPhone 11s are a lot cheaper than local units (!!). I’m very tempted to get one, but will it have problems with Philippine LTE signals? Also, for some reason, the test iPhones here doesn’t have the shutter sound when in silent mode. Hmm. thoughts?
upgrade first to the latest version of ios then reset the phone. ran into the same trouble yesterday but after the update, all is good
Mm...buy with confidence. Japan sells the global models (the A2218 for the iPhone 11 Pro Max) and are PH compatible (A2218 supports LTE Band 28)......PH and Japan have identical iPhone 11 Pro Max model....but for the shutter sound (what's the big deal anyway?)
Glad I got to try the 11 Pro Max demo unit. It’s not as huge as I thought it would be, will prolly get this instead of the 11 Pro.
I never experience any signal issues with my xs max hk version. And there are many members here who can attest to the same.
Mm...used tempered glass with the notch cut-out for both the Xs Max and iPhone 11 Pro Max. No issue with face i.d.
