I can't seem to send SMS on my secondary sim. Can you send any link, if there is one, of a tutorial? But I don't have a problem calling using my secondary sim.

    Thank you!

This is a very good point. Though the price difference vs purchasing locally would actually negate this.

As for local warranty, to be honest i dont really trust our local stores to honor them. They always find some kind of loophole. Example: last christmas i bought an apple watch from powermac as a gift for my wife. Upon purchase they told me that i have to open the box in front of them to check for manufacturer’s defects. I refused, reminded them it was a gift for my wife. They made me sign a waiver relinquishing all my claim for warranty, instead limited to the 7 days return window as mandated by DOT. I bought it early december, planned to give it on christmas. They basically said “pasensya na po yan policy namin” which to me is translated ”you’re shit out of luck”. Never again. Sorry for the rant.

back on topic, thank you for clearing up connection issues. I’ll truly consider hk version. Or maybe taiwan since thats where my next trip is.

Yes, per experience with grey market at local stores, there is no such thing as warranty.

That’s not how it’s suppose to be done. Clearly that’s violative of DTI rules and regulations on warranties. A consumer cannot be told that warranty for products sold to them shall be limited in the number of days mandated by DTI just because they refuse to agree to a seller’s “advice to open the product” or sign a waiver thereof. Considering it’s Powermac which has been subject of numerous complaints of the same nature before, it’s imperative that they be placed in the right track about what is and what is not a warranty.
Asking the buyer to open the package they bought is stupid and irresponsible but in no way should it waive the warranty if the buyer refuses to do so. That smacks of illegal transaction and anti-consumerism and should be subject of prosecution.
