Personal thoughts & insights. Globe & Smart will probably ship it by late October Disappointed that base model is still 64GB unlike Samsung & Huawei where they start at 256GB iPhone 11 is $50 cheaper than last year's XR... why can't the Pros be $100 cheaper than last year's Xs & Xs Max? Apple finally bundles a 18W charger... I wonder if the this iPhone can charge faster with a 30W, 61W or 87W charger
AFAIK, you can charge faster with a higher powered USB-C charger, which means you'll need a USB-C-to-Lightning cable. A standard USB-A charger does not support the Power Delivery protocol, which is only supported in the USB-C standard.
I'm on the fence, I'm still on iPX and still works very good. Though I wanted a bigger screen (Max) and zero shutter camera lag that I wanted from the XS. Kaso next year it's All new. Actually we're fortunate to have a late release. Let's have early adopters weed out the quirks and youtubers to review and recommend hehe
I could finally upgrade from 8+ to iPhone 11 without adding too much. Parang medyo unfair lang para sa mga naka Xs at Xs Max, dahil ang daming features nadagdag pero kaunte lang price diff.
Not Gonna Upgrade but my Parents will as they are in their upgrade cycle. This iPhone iteration was underwhelming. They have obviously hit the innovation plateau with the phones. Oh well.
I just cant believe that apple is still pushing 64GB entry level storage. I mean with all the inovation with the camera, why the heck they cant even make the entry level a 128Gb at least???
Same. Apple gotta maintain those profit margins. 256GB seems excessive to me and I record a lot of videos for documentation (OR videos: Appendectomy; Cholecystectomy, etc.) and have an extensive music collection and I have yet to breach 100GB in my XS max.
Well, they probably want to encourage the 64GB users to sign up for iCloud storage, another revenue stream....
i actually experimented with a 64gb storage model when i got my iPhone X. and it was a good experiment, as I discovered i didn't really need more than 64gb storage. all of my previous iPhones have been the largest storage tier, now I know i can get away with lower storage. haha.
Since my brother's 5s is giving up, I'll be passing my X to him and I'll be getting an 11 Pro! Excited for the local release. Torn though between the non Max and the Max. Any XS Max users who used an X have an opinion about it?
The price below is for the 2018 iPhones. As the 2019 iPhones are priced the same as 2018 iPhone models then the Plan + 1 time cash out should be near identical. Sweet spot appears to be Plan 1799
Mm...because most users do not require or use much storage. In my case, I am using only 32 GB for storage (accumulated content since my iPhone 7 Plus days). I do not need extra local storage. With my iCloud and OneDrive subscriptions, I do not need a robust local storage since I need to access my media content on all my devices. Everything is streamed anyway. Mm...get the Max. Easier on the eyes.
There must still be a lot of people who do not fully utilize their iPhone's storage capacity. My folks are a typical example. Of course, Apple is also probably hedging that people who do exceed the storage capacity of their phones would be forced to use cloud services like iCloud. They have been making great inroads into cloud services lately with the introduction of AppleTV+ and Apple Arcade so everything from photo and video storage to media consumption can no longer be tied to the physical storage capacity of the device.
Mm...local storage was far more important way back then when streaming was just a pipe dream and folks had to download torrented movies and porn. Now? No need. Stream the stuff off.....including porn. Now, if you are a professional photographer or videographer, that where local storage comes in very handy. I used to store Tidal lossless on local storage for offline listening. Now? No need. Stream the music. Pareho lang.
This iPhone comes with a 18W USB-C charger & USB-C to Lightning cable. What I wanted to know if it can improve charging speed further with a 30W, 61W or 87W USB-C charger.
