Decided to get Apple's official case for the iPad MR. The price is a bit steep compared to similar cases but totally worth it. I'm pretty much a one-case-forever kinda guy.

I went for the Product (RED), I love how the red case complements the space grey mini. However, after just a few days I began seeing discoloration on the sides. Found out that the light colors are prone to this problem. So I returned it and got the black one. Pretty pleased with it as well. This case oozes quality and I just love how the leather feels in your hand.

 

I'm just curious as to wether the expensive ipad mini smart case protects the ipad from getting dents when you unintentionally drop it from your chair and unto a wooden floor? Dropped mine last night and it's on a cheap ass "smart case" I bought from a tiangge store and, needless to say, I got two dents on the right side of my new ipad's bezel. Usuless piece of case!

i've used that same case for my old ipad mini and i dropped it as well because I'm clumsy with my gadgets. It also resulted on dents at the side of the bezel. I got what I paid for indeed.

 

maybe you should get otterbox, lifeproof, griffin or tough armor

I thought of that but they are so bulky i hate it. I jut bought this instead. It's functional and thin. I hope it can get the job done in the protection aspect.

Try this. Got it from Silicon Valley Megamall for only 650 pesos. My baby drops my ipad twice and still has no dents.

 

I have this one as well. It is a slim case and will protect your iPad mini well.

I would use this case if I knew that mu iPad MR will be needing extra protection. But Apple smart case for everyday use..

 

Has anyone seen ozaki cases for the mini retina available anywhere locally? I really like their cases because of the stand.

 

I see some ozaki case in sm north annex.

 

Just now, my daughter's 1-day old ipad mini took a tumble down 3 steps down the stairs and came out just fine thanks to the Spigen Tough Armor. It literally rolled down the stairs but no damage whatsoever to the Mini. The money i spent for the case just paid for itself right then and there

 

Actually there is a testimony from a customer in Amazon wherein her iPhone which uses Tough Armor was dropped from a plane and survived.
