After i upgraded to IOS 5.0.1 imediately my GSM signal got worsen. I often get "searching and no service" , which i seldom got it on IOS 5.0. And my internet signal (E/3G) also often lost. Sometimes i get "invalid sim card" when the signal disapears long enough. I never got that problem when on IOS 5.0. also cannot text or call
Happens to me too... once you lose the signal, the iphone4 has difficulty reacquiring a signal again... a restart is often necessary...
is this for the iphone 4 or iphone 4s? my iphone 4s exactly fits what you're experiencing even in ios5. my iphone 4 seems ok after 5.0.1 and even the imessage/facetime problem gets resolved.
Iphone 4s. Now time to downgrade os5. ill give you update later itunes cannot restore original 5.0!!!! what a waste.. now im stcuk with this f*ckn device!! where i can get ios 5.0 back up for 4s?
oh .... i am also in iphone 4 ..... must be isolated to iphone 4S ...... i think its best to try "restore" the phone via itune ..... see if that will resolve it
i feel your pain buddy. i'm experiencing the same thing. can't downgrade to iOS5 too. i honestly felt like i wanted to through the damn phone to the wall, hahaha. how about those who have this problem, let's post our details so we can see if there's any relation to the model or the country of origin. i'll start. iPhone 4S 16GB Black Country of origin: Australia Carrier: Smart OS: iOS 5.0.1 updated: via OTA, then also restored with a full download.
Iphone 4s white 16gb Country: australia Network: globe and sun Os: 5.0.1 Issue: dropping signal. Cannot send sms worse ios!!!
4s white 16gb singapore FU network: sun OS : 5.0.1 droping signal, cannot send sms too, need to turn airplane mode on and off having a hard time regaining signal
I have rare occasions of dropping signals, but has been consistent with previous firmwares or even previous iPhones, so I think it's more of a Globe issue. I didn't see any increase in the rate of dropping signals on my iPhone 4S updated to 5.0.1.
Iphone 4s white 16gb Country: UK Network: globe Os: 5.0.1 Issue: dropping signal cant seem to maintain carrier connection ;( Has somebody in here tried it with a new microSim from globe or what not? Apple support seem to suggest so.
Im using old standard sim cut into micro sim, can someboday confirm we need to get the original micro sim from the carrier? my iphone 4s looks like an ipod touch.. Useless..
this morning i encountered, invalid sim again. decided to pull out the sim and put it back again. no porblem na since this morning
i tried a micro sim from globe. same banana. i speculate that it has something to do with the automatic switching of antennae.
When i connect cable going to macbook and auto sync and use my iphone as a broadband. My iphone is okay bec of the steady 3g connection. But when i remove my cable. My signal loss again. We need an update asap..
