i wish they fix or improve the Photos Markup tool. its very hard to use. adding text to a photo is so confusing, resizing it is confusing, even click "Done" when editing a text is confusing.. even Instagram Stories have a better implementation of "Markup" functionality.

Killing an app by just swiping up is a welcome change. I thought the iOS 12 beta I installed have bugs when holding on the apps didn't show the usual 'kill' badge.

    iOS 12 compatibility

2013 iPad Air 1 or newer
2013 iPad mini 2 or newer
    2013 iPhone 5s or newer
    2013 iPod touch 6th generation

With iOS 12 support for 2013 devices will allow Apple to surpass 5.5 years of iOS device support.

Developers on the iOS 12 beta report their 2013 devices being exponentially more usable than with iOS 11.

Now, if only Apple figured a way to stretch out 16GB of space. :)

I'm still using ios9 with my iphone5s... didn't upgrade since then because of the dreaded planned obsolescence.... but given that it uses iOS9, it's has also become very slow... maybe because all the apps are now optimized for the latest version. so will upgrading to iOS12 make it faster?

It might be getting slower by how much data you've created and saved onto it.

Be aware that there are security holes documented for older software like iOS 9. If that is acceptable to you then stick to that.

It's still a beta :) It's not perfect but very usable.

Memoji is still problematic...that's the only one that's obvious for me that needs work.

An old 5s i have lying around got the ios12 treatment and indeed its faster now, doesnt have that, sort of android lag when operating the phone, sorry cant explain it, for sure ios and android users like me can relate, that split micro second lag when transitioning to other apps, animations, etc... ios12 seems to have cured that on the 5s, though its still a lot slower by today’s standards, i’d say its useable/passable with the update even if ur used to iphone X speeds... before on ios11 it was really not tolerable

my iPad Mini 2 is back to buttery smooth UI transitions with iOS 12. I used to cringe with the lag in iOS 11.

Anyone who has iOS 12 in their phones verify if the ‘traffic lines’ in the Maps app is accurate? Just found this new feature in the Maps app.

As of now, It's still out for the developers. Hopefully we can have it in public beta on the 2nd or 3rd release of the developer's beta.
