Anyone else experiencing intermittent email downloads from Google's Gmail using their MacMail app? It's been a week now that my email downloads are erratic, and this morning I found out that my friend is also experiencing the same problem, but since we're on using the same gateway (smart-bro), it's too early to determine where the problem is.

Bumping, but keying in a similar Gmail problem:
When accessing Gmail from a frequented hotspot, Gmail is totally inaccesible (even on their own PC terminal); in other hotspots and net cafes using PCs, everything seems to be OK.

I have experienced Gmail freezing up on Safari and Firefox on my laptop from the aforementioned hotspot for about 1.5 weeks now. I also can't log into my iChat where, just 2 weeks prior, there was no problem accessing iChat and AIM.
I also can not download my Gmail POP to Mail.

I have called the attention of the hotspot owner (as I figured it wasnt just my portable unit that was the problem, but their PC terminal as well) and was told that they will look into it. (At this point I figured it could be a remote firewall or something; however, this is a wild, desperate guess). The hotpsot is on PLDTdsl, while my last, successful log-in 3 days ago at a different hotspot had BayantelDSL.

When I Googled and browsed through other fora about Gmail freezing up on their Mac portables, I discover that the problem isn't a remote one.

Are there ways to troubleshoot this, or is this totally Gmail's problem?
