    Quick advise needed!

I'm currently reinstalling software on an eMac G4 700mhz 40gb HDD 1gbRAM with 10.4.11 & iLife 04, when I had the crazy idea of skipping iLife 06 & iWork 06 and install instead iLife 08 (with iMovie HD 06) & iWork 08. I had wonderful thoughts on their latest features and functionality.

But then, Magic Band gave a lot of beachballs (though the rest of Garageband seem to function well) and made me doubt my move.

Would iLife 08, iWork 08 and iMovie HD 06 be too much for this eMac? Which app versions should I retain and which apps should I revert to 06 or lower?

In particular, Apps that will be needed by the eMac user are Garageband, iPhoto, Keynote and iMovie. What versions of these apps would you recommend to install performance wise? Or would Garageband 08, iPhoto 08, Keynote 08 and iMovie HD work well naman on this eMac?

App performance vs latest features - case-to-case choice per app?

The eMac will be needed na sana this afternoon...

    On an eMac G4 700mhz 40gb HDD 1gbRAM with 10.4.11:
    - Garageband '08: Yes, but some beachballs especially on resource-heavy features.
    - iPhoto '08: Yes
    - Keynote '08: Yes
    - iMovie HD '08: No. It needs an Intel Mac to run.

Thanks johannes! :) Yay to iPhoto & Keynote 08!

But I'm really concerned with Garageband and iMovie since these are crucial apps for the user...

Should I revert to Garageband 06?
Will iMovie HD 06 be ok or I still have to back to iMovie 05 or iMovie 04?
