guys, i started working on a iDVD project then this window came up telling me that my mac has no superdrive to burn dvds. i have a macbook 2.0 which of course has superdrive. what seems to be the problem? i tried rebooting and the drive was finally recognized but every now and then when i open the iDVD app, the warning still shows up.

    is this a hardware problem?

    thanks.

i suspect software as you are able to burn in toast. try logging-in as different user (may need to create dummy account). if problem goes away, then your pref file (plist) could be the problem. try trashing your iDVD plist. don't empty trash to be sure. run iDVD again using your account, hopefully it will now work.
