hi everyone. i was lead to this curiosity from another thread...

i was thinking of ways on how to free up some space on my MB's HD. and one of the things that i've decided to do is to delete/uninstall some of the applications that i don't normally use.

however, i just want to know, which apps that came with the bundled Mac OS X installer are worth saving.:)

thanks and more power to philmug!:)

I don't know if this will qualify but the language pack of os x takes up more than a gigabyte of space and you can use monolingual to remove some of the languages that you might not use.

Other than that, all applications bundled are useful and might screwup up your system if deleted. exercise with caution when deleting files/apps

    Cheers

Mine came with pre-installed photshop (and a lot of photo-enhancers) but since i'm not big on photography- i could do away with it. It's really what you intend to do with ur Mac that will eventually make u decide what to keep

I really don't recommend removing the default applications that ARE APPLE-PROVIDED. I mean, baka kasi kakailanganin ng ibang apps. May exception sa iWork, and iLife though, puwede niyo tanggalin ang Garageband, iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb, etc., na walang alinlangan. XD

i always thought - i'm not gonna worry about space until i run out of it. my pictures probably need burning for archiving anyway.

all the pre-installed apple apps are there for use, if you don't use it yet, it's fun to learn how to. i have a thing for uninstalling apps developed from Apple itself. i personally prefer not doing it.

after all, i bought the mac to use mac apps didn't i? :)
