I never really liked Norton Anti-Virus for the Mac

    ....I have not used it nor any anti-virus software for more than a year now. Never really had a need for it, except to tell my friends that they are sending out (windows) virus infected mails or documents.
    Now here is one more reason not to:
    Symantec false alert floors Macs

    NAV has got to be the most useless piece of software on the mac ;) it cant detect malware anyways... and slows down your system considerably. practicing a safe and secure digital lifestyle is much better than shelling out $70 for NAV. i havent used a single piece of anti-virus software on my macs since 1996 and i dont intend to install one until apple occupies 95% of the world's personal computers :eek:

    Yet Norton is continually detecting windows virii(?) in my incoming email. If I just ignored them, could I pass them on?
    I use Eurdora and OSX 10.3.9
