Tap Installer, tap Uninstall, tap BSD Subsystem. Be careful, though, as there may be other applications you installed which require the BSD Subsystem.

Umm, the phone's operating system itself.

The BSD subsystem includes the BSD kernel that lies underneath Mac OS X. Since the iPhone, like the Mac, runs atop this BSD kernel, removing it is not possible, unless you intend to write a Linux distribution for the iPhone.

This is the equivalent of the Windows NT kernel in NT based OSs- NT, 2000, XP, and Vista, or the Linux Kernel in various Linuxes.
