I heard there's rosetta built in to the Intel Macs to be able to run the old apps in Mac. I have some old games for my son that should work for PPC Macs, but when I opne the disc, the icon has a "slash" on top of it, and when I click on it, it says that it's not supported on this system.

Can I still make this work?

try searching for an intel patch for those particular games. that's what i did when i got a non-intel version of the "Cars" game. but that's a relatively new game so i'm not sure about older games. worth a try though.

if the game runs on Classic, then rosetta will not be able to translate it..

Read through these search results. Basically, you'll be running a Mac emulator such as Basilisk or SheepSaver on your Intel Mac to run System 7
