When I download a .torrent file and open the file directly from safari, the Opera browser seems to be the default application for .torrent files, not utorrent. Tried searching for Safari in Spotlight and Finder, but I can't seem to find it. How do I uninstall Opera? :) if it cannot be done, how do I change the default program for an extension?

Access the "Get Info" of the file in question, in this case the .torrent file.

Change the default application in "Open with:", select utorrent as the application then click on "Change All" button.

If you don't have Opera installed on your machine, it's probably opening the Opera browser bundled within Adobe apps.
