I want to upgrade to Quicktime 7 Pro but the apple upgrade page only caters to select countries (does not include the Philippines and I don't have a creditcard with a foreign address). How can I obtain a legal Quicktime 7 Pro license? Can I go to a local apple reseller and just pay them upfront? :qmark:

Go to the Hong Kong store. You can use your Philippine Credit card and Philippine billing address.

    Here's the link.

It's most likely because of credit card fraud. Just like sa Ebay, right?

well apple ID is different from your .mac user account. you should still be able to use your apple ID.

I use gmail and yahoo mail for these things. They're free and don't expire. You can even configure the mac mail app to use gmail.

If you've already bought the license but the email address you used is no longer valid (I don't know how long the grace period is), the registration codes apple sent you will bounce. You can either contact apple customer support and explain what happened or reactivate your .mac account and hope your .mac data and mail are still in the server.

I think elbertc can help you with regards to .mac and customer care matters.

I have not tried this with a non U.S. .mac account but sign up for one click and use your present e-mail and credit card information in the Apple Hongkong link. Let us know if it works.

Tried the Apple HongKong Store. It now requires a HongKong shipping address. It wasn't there a couple of months back and we were able to get a license for the other computer.

For those who are still wondering how to purchase a Quicktime Pro license, go to the apple website then go to the Apple Store page. Then on the bottom of that page choose the Hong Kong store. From there you can use your Philippine credit card and billing address. Altough I remember that I couldn't change the country (it will be set to Hong Kong and it couldn't be edited), your transaction should still push through. ;)
