i noticed that skype automatically opens after booting up a mac. when i installed skype on a windows pc there was an option during installation to have this feature disabled. but in a mac there is none. i tried to look for an option in my mac after installing skype, if this feature can be disabled but unfortunatelye none.

would you know how to do this? thanks

    simply go to:
System Preferences>Accounts>(choose current user account)>Login Items>(choose Skype from the list)>(click "-" sign to delete)

another option is to right click the skype dock icon then uncheck "Open at Login", this applies to other applications too not only skype.
