Title says it all. I have a late 2007 MBP which has stains (oily hands sigh) on the keyboard. How do I clean it? I'm guessing wet towel isn't really a good idea here.

    TIA

You can try wiping it with a slightly damp cloth. Are the stains causing to give your keyboard a yellowish hue? If so, it's very likely that the natural oil stain from your fingers may have permeated through the finish of the keyboard and that's almost very difficult, sometimes not possible, to remove. If this is the case, you can try stronger chemical based cleaners such as sher appliance cleaner or scotch brite magic erasing pad.

    Hope this helps.

Wrap a finger with a damp cloth and VERY CAREFULLY wipe affected keys. I heard of a 3M product that people use to clean their white MacBooks. I think its like an eraser. It might be worth a try. Hope this helps.
