There's an installation video that I need to save as avi or mp4. Any idea how? Is there a software for this?

There are several techniques to save flash video (FLV) files from the various video sites. For YouTube, for example, I just use the Fast Video Download add-on for Firefox.

For other sites and other media, a fool proof technique that I use is Safari's Activity Monitor. A good tutorial can be found here.

Finally, you'll need other software to convert FLV to AVI or MP4.
