How do I do this? I've been trying to rename my photos to sort them, but there seemed to be no way to do it simultaneously. In the other OS, you select 'em all, right click, rename, and done. No way I'm Boot Camping for that!

Use Automator like I do: Start Automator, Custom Workflow, Files & Folders, Rename Finder Items. I use this workflow to rename my photos as well.

Yeah, I also use automator for this task of renaming multiple files, esp. photos.

To be honest, this is the only thing I've used Automator for. I have yet to use it for anything else.

If you have Adobe Bridge CS3, you can select all the files you want to be renamed > right click in any of the files chosen > click Batch Rename. A dialog box will appear for more options then click OK, that's it. You can even Move or Copy those files to be renamed on any location you want.

Adobe Bridge comes as supplement graphics browser on Adobe CS3 installer.
