I have just bought am iPod touch. I want to download apps from the 'apps store' I have on my iPod touch. I signed up at apple.com for an iTunes acct but whenever I try to download at the 'apps store' on my iPod touch, and I'm asked to log in, it keeps saying 'authorization failed' pls connect to iTunes.

I do not really know what that means. Do I have to connect my iPod to the pc before I can download? Or does that mean I am entering the wrong details that's why authoriization failed?
I really want to download apps so pls help me. Also if there are other ways to download and install apps pls let me know as well.

    Thank you!

connect your iPodTouch with itunes. Sync it, then on your itunes sign in your account. and try to authorized your computer. click store on the menu bar then authorize.
You should have wi-fi connectivity, and valid itunes account.

Your iTunes account (computer side) needs to be active when you sync your iPod Touch to your computer. That way, when you disconnect your iPod Touch, the App Store of your Touch will have an active account.

    - Launch iTunes in your computer. Go to the iTunes Store. Sign in. (if you have an account already)
    - Connect your iPod Touch. Sync.
    - Once you're done, turn on your Touch's wi-fi. Tap the App Store icon, scroll all the way down. You should be able to see your iTunes account name at the bottom.
    - Disconnect you iPod Touch from your computer.
    - You should be able to enjoy the iPod Touch's App Store feature now.
