hi... im wondering if anyone would know a (free) software for the mac which could remove a high pitched sound from an audio file (wav). i used an astone rhumba 2000 to record a lecture for the bar and the resulting file has this high pitched constant pinging sound throughout the entire file. if anyone would know how to best remove it, it would be greatly appreciated...

    p.s.
on the same note, a program that could amplify the volume of the audio file would also be appreciated. :)

hmm, I'm thinking Garageband might be able to help.

Try Audacity. I believe it can do the things you need.

i think all you need is a notch filter. :)
or maybe you can set the bandpass to 20Hz-20kHz. :D
