...not sure if im posting on the right forum but here goes... I just installed a bunch of fonts from my peecee to my pb, everything was fine (photoshop text, word, etc...) but then i opened up safari and then bam! i couldn't read anything clearly anymore. for example, in our philmug site, any text that's clickable or has a link is in some weird cartoon type font... how can i get the old settings back? i tried resetting safari and it still had the same font. any thoughts?
That happens to me too whenever I use Firefox. Switched back to Safari because of this. Try using font management software or remove some of the fonts you just installed. HTH.
Take the pc fonts out of your System > Library> font folder. Place them in a 2nd font folder, named "spare fonts" or "pc fonts" – keep this elsewhere (and out of your system folder). Use Font Book to turn on 1 pc font at a time to track down the bothersome font.
after installing about 500 new fonts, i had the same problem with safari and even firefox... so i started deleting some fonts... by mistake though i deleted the common bullet font. since i don't remember installing that I assume it came with the mac os. is this font like vital or something? if it is, can somebody pls pls send me a copy of it.... thanks... email ad: [email protected] btw, i never did get to have the original fonts i used in safari. i don't want to keep deleting anymore fonts in case I delete the wrong ones again.
