Suddenly the screen went: <iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/418438120" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" allowfullscreen></iframe> <p><a href="">Untitled</a> from <a href="https://vimeo.com/user95547268">Gino Arcinas</a> on <a href="https://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p> Is the LCD now beyond repair? Works fine when plugged to an external display.
Something wrong with display cable. No display is truly beyond repair... it's just that it's easier and costs less man power to replace things in this age of "disposable tech"
Seems to me like a flex cable or display connector issue. Highly unlikely (but still possible) that this is a GPU issue since your MacBook comes with an iGPU. iGPUs don't typically fail as much as the dGPU counterparts and like you've said, it works fine when connecting to an external display. Does the issue happen during the boot process also?
Meron talaga issue ang MBP2015 sa mga screen nila. I think nag offer ang Apple for free replacement sa mga screen ng mbp last 2016-2018.
I just noticed, while I am in recovery mode, the screen nevery flickered, as if walang issue. Just curious on why is it like that in Recovery?
My screen was replaced for FREE. Better to visit Apple Authorized Service Center to have it diagnose.
