The same problem happened to me as well. What I did was to uninstall MS Office and reinstall it again. Best way is to by an uninstaller (AppDelete, which is free BTW), which lets you erase all associated files to the application, not just the app itself.

Of course, by doing this, you erase all the settings and the files you have for that application.

I'm not sure about how you can back up your Entourage Archive, hopefully someone else can help you with that. But i do suggest uninstalling it with the supplied Uninstaller. That should be in the "Additional Tools" folder.

The only way I know to back up the files is to export the main identity where you can import later on to Mail/Entourage App. But that's my dilema now, I can't launch the app anymore.:(

Hi lamski. Thanks for the advice. I tried the procedures there and it did not work. But I guess the article there is right. From my recall I installed some fonts before that problem occured. Now i'm planning to reformat the whole system. Just hoping that someone could teach me how save some files in my entourage.

To back up your Entourage database, just copy the Microsoft User Data folder in the Documents folder.

Home > Documents > Microsoft User Data

Have you tried marvinp"s suggestion? That's what I did when my Entourage and Excel got screwed up due to some bad fonts daw (don't even know how that happened!). Anyway, after securing my Main Identity files, I uninstalled and reinstalled, ran the updates and I'm good again! Pero, it's a real time-waster (and nail-biter too)!
