Er, well I deleted it but now can't download it. Am using firefox, and everytime I try to download at the apple site, it just gives me the page for downloading the windows version. Was thinking to remove it and re-install, because its been uncooperative lately-- crashing and refusing to reset or erase history, even. Exported my bookmarks on to my desktop, and said no when firefox prompted me to copy bookmarks. Don't ask me why. Never fiddle with your mac when you're half-asleep. And moderators, sorry, I wasn't sure where to put this. Thanks, hope to have some help soon. And no, I don't have my installer disks or anything of the sort with me. xx maria
Apparently the 3.0 Beta for Mac really has been missing from the apple site for a while, presumably to fix glitches? Anyhow, found the older versions here: http://michelf.com/projects/multi-safari/ And now running on Safari 2.0.4 XX
^^ I think it's no longer in beta, and only available through the install discs or software updates now. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/17743
download safari 3.03 here. http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?so...rsoft.com/internet/browsers/Safari303Beta.dmg
Hi! I downloaded safari 3 from that site, tried to install, but system says it can't install on my HD. It "doesn't meet the requirements".
experienced this before with my ibook...if i recall correctly, i reinstalled it through the emergency disk that came with my apple.
Hi guys, problem solved! As suggested in apple's safari support section, I downloaded the latest combo update for intel macs, also at the apple site. Then I extracted the safari 3 file using Pacifist. Checked everything - permissions, etc. Works perfectly. So far. Thanks for all the suggestions! PS Nicky I'm on 10.4.11
