i've set up my mobileme. everything worked fine except that whenever i check my external email account (yahoo), i get this message - The mail server for your external POP account cannot be reached. Make sure the incoming mail server is correct in the Other tab of Mail Preferences. what do i need to do? thanks very much!
Oh, sorry. I didn't know you can check Yahoo Pop Mail from www.me.com. I just have my mac mail up there.
First things first...Does your yahoo mail allow you to use POP mail? Are you a premium mail account user? Are you using a Yahoo Mail Philippines account? If the answer to all the questions are NO, then the error message is normal. You can't use POP of your Yahoo mail account.
uh oh, i don't know. well, you see, all i wanted is for the push feature of my iPhone to work. i've set up mobileme and my calendar and contacts now are in sync. i'm using my visibility sim on my iPhone so i wanted to maximize the unlimited data usage so please, please, please help me make the push email work. thanks very much.
If you sign out and you are redirected to the Yahoo US website, then your yahoo mail is US based. There is no workaround for this, since forwarding and POP access is only for premium users. Get gmail if you like.
