I recently installed the new ilife 08 on my pb g4... i knew only imovie won't be upgraded for it needs an intel based processor. i was able to upgrade the other apps.. but now idvd and garageband won't load! It would crash everytime! Any ideas how I could resolve this?

Does it still crash if you run GarageBand from a newly created user account?

Actually, you probably didn't need to transfer all your data to another account. Since GarageBand works well in a new account, it just means that nothing's wrong with the app. It's either a corrupt preference file (.plist) or there's a conflict with another app. You could try trashing the com.apple.garageband.plist file in your old account (should be in the <your old account>/Library/Preferences folder).
