The worst thing happened to me today. When I restarted Apple's Mail app today I was asked to create a new account. But when I use Spotlight I can still see my received and sent email. My account's still in /Users/King/Library/Mail/[email protected]/ Any and all ideas on how to fix this would be most appreciated!
Hmm, so this is a Gmail account and you are downloading mails via POP? That means the emails are still in the server. Try re-creating the account then download your mails again.
