    Help! An alias keeps on showing up in my trash each and every time I delete a file. It stays there when I empty the trash and is erased when I use option+empty. What is this file? How do I stop it from showing up?

    I don't know if this is the best and right solution, but you can try dragging and dropping it to a flash disk via finder. Then format the flash..

    Right click> Info the file. If locked, click unlock. Then try emptying the trash. Make sure no app is using the file. So close all apps.

    Click anywhere in your desktop (make sure not on any application windows) then press command+option+shift+backspace
    {⌘+⌥+⇧+⌫}

    This will immediately empty trash without further questions, even locked files.

    You may opt to try this keystrokes too. hope it works.
