Adobe software is soooo expensive! Can you recommend alternatives to the following, which are good enough and will not hamper the creativity and productivity of the users?

    1. Adobe inDesign
    2. Adobe Illustrator
    3. Adobe Photoshop CS3
    4. Dreamweaver

Is getting CS2 a viable option to save money?

Oh, platform is both Mac and Windows.

    Thanks!

Haven't really tried GraphicConverter but I hear it's also pretty good. You might want to try that.

Is there a site you can recommend that talks about how to use it? Especially for first timers?

Gimp provides tutorial documents right at the website. For Gimp Shop, you should be able to use Adobe Photoshop books/tutorials as Gimp Shop was designed with that in mind (functionality, look-and-feel, etc. close to Photoshop).
