    Hello,

iTunes 5.0.1 is out; this might solve your problem.

I seem to be having trouble as well. I just updated by 4G/20GB SW ver to 3.1 and upgraded to itunes 5.0.1 just now. I'm running on WinXP.

    1) itunes now sees my iPod as a 4GB with nearly no free space. My Tunes library is currently empty now and so is the iPod.

    2) Windows does not recognize my ipod as external disk even with enable disk use clicked.

My Mac Mini with itunes 4 sees the iPod at 20GB and as external disk and so does my notebook running on WinXP Pro.

Mods please advise if these queries are appropriate here in your board as they do pertain partially to Windows. Many Thanks.

indeed, there are problems. i've just updated to iTunes 5.0.1 last night. This morning, when I update my podcast, it just quits. Likewise, when I access the music store it quits. Everytime I access the music store or try updating podcasts, it crashes!!! SOS!

I'm already using the new version of itunes. Except for the podcasts, everything is working fine. So it might just be a software glitch. Has anyone tried downloading the whole file again?
