hi i was browsing the old philmug site and somebody posted abt a p2p for mac called acquisition x. i was wondering if this is a good program without all the possible spyware that is typical of a kazaa-like software. thanks!

Acquisition is good, but it can only connect to the Gnutella network.

I prefer Poisoned. Connects to the following networks: Gnutella, OpenFT, and FastTrack (Kazaa!). ;-)

    p.s. No spyware for both.

Been using it for a long time now... personally better than poisoned.

i use limewire for songs, poisoned and acquisition. the problem with poisoned is, it sometimes hangs. the drawer i mean. but acquisition is good to. i'm just not sure why there's this registration they're asking. it's not important though. it's free. kaya nga di ko alam yung purpose eh. but for songs, limewire's the best.

I'm lukewarm about Acquisition. Never worked well for me. I get best results with Limewire in this P2P class, but nothing beats Bit Torrent.

ive used acquisition for 5 years, until i upgraded to leopard a week ago and now going back to the old acquisition site, may bayad na, lintek! harumps.

but its good if you just want single mp3 files of certain artists... & it downloads in seconds. i was able to download a lot of my baduy 80s hits and even classics like The Kinks, or stuff id need for sappy videos for small video projects that i work on.

otherwise if youre cool with waiting, azureus (which is like bittorrent or utorrent) is cool for downloading full albums.
