Harddrive upgrade?

Discussion in 'MacBook Air, MacBook & MacBook Pro' started by thing_with_feet, Feb 4, 2010.

  1. I have the old 15inch Macbook pro with the 160gb harddrive...
I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade that to something higher

western digital offers the scorpio blue at the highest capacity of 1TB for 5400rpms and scorpio black at 320gb at 7200rpms. do note that the new 1TB is 3mm thicker than the lower capacity scorpio blues, it's unknown where it would fit your model of a MBP.

You can go up to 640gb, but the easiest available size locally is 500gb. The old MBPs might be harder to take apart than the unibodies though.
