Wishful thinking This is pretty misleading, and creates a lot of false hopes. It's just Half-Life being played on a Windows PC using a Mac monitor. As far as I know, of this writing Half-Life for the Mac is a pipe dream, because Valve has no plans to port it to the Mac. Everyone knows this has as much chance of happening as our country obliterating the national debt by electing Eddie Gil. Posts like these only serve to disappoint those who take their Mac gaming seriously. The lack of Mac support for Half-Life is a sore point with most Mac gamers, and is nothing to make light of. Maybe we can all avoid this kind of irresponsible postings in the future. Properly labeled or categorized, it could be interesting, but as it is, its just plain misleading and confusing. If you really want to help, point everyone to something useful, like asking everyone to sign up on this online petition to Valve to bring Half-Life 2 to the Macintosh. Besides, using a Mac display on a Windows machine is a distasteful union, and a waste of good Apple hardware, don't you think?
My bad... when I saw the images I thought they were porting it to the Mac. The new Apple displays (DVI) touted to be compatible with PCs too.
Absolutely right, Ken. I knew there was something familiar about it (although CounterStrike is a subset of the larger Half-Life environment technically.) Certainly not HL2 though. (OT: I left quickly earlier today because of a prior engagement and forgot to give you the T-Shirt payment, Ken. Next time I see you ha?)
ATTN: Mods... You should BAN this guy misleading & lying to us. It is ENOUGH ground to do it. He's even gut the guys to show half of his face!
I'm sure this wasn't deliberate Zauber. And he has expressed his regret about posting this. I'm sure we can let this one slide for now. Sana lang Absinth, be more careful when posting. Thanks.
And the truth comes out why Half Life 2 isnt on the Mac http://arstechnica.com/journals/app...-co-founder-on-why-its-games-arent-on-the-mac
