Hi guys, quick question... I've been doing some light graphic designing mostly on a PC platform (mostly vector based line art drawings with some typesetting involve). Its only recently that I bought an Ibook (Dec. 2004) and I'm still learning how to work with a MAC. I already have Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop CS, and Corel Draw installed in my laptop. I was wondering what other softwares would you guys recommend that i install in my laptop that would help me in doing designing and also doing my type-setting. Do they have a program like Font Navigator (I have this in my Corel Draw PC platform), I need to load a lot of fonts into my cpu so that when I do the actual designing, I have a database of fonts that I can pick from. Also, like PC, if we have a lot of fonts installed in the Ibook, would it slow the computer down or worse, would lead to the computer freezing.. (Sorry to be asking such a "rookie" question, afterall I'm a newbie to the Mac world) Be gentle in your replies
Hi JLO, I normally use Extensis Suitcase X1 but OS X's Font Book is a free alternative. It's definitely in your application folder if you are using OS 10.3. [Edited on 3-17-2005 by Carlo]
