GPS of iPhone 3GS could not locate my position

    Searching for an address requires a data connection. GPS doesn't provide that service. It only finds your location. So what you described is normal. As for GPS to find your location,if you have clear skies from where you stand it's relatively quicker than with cloudy skies. You need to have clear line of sight with the geostationary satellites up there.

    ^^ To make things clear, the GPS in iPhone is mainly to show my location. In order for the iPhone to show me the maps, route, etc. without connecting to data service, I need to buy a GPS app. Is this correct?

    I don't get it. What is the difference between NDrive, manila sreetmap offline and manila offline street map?
