This is a separate thread for GoPro's (entry level) Hero line...

First Hero was mentioned here (release together with the Hero 4 (Black and Silver)

    Hero+ LCD was released later.

    Now for the 3rd model...

The HERO is back... IMO, good move by GoPro, hoever they should have stripped everything off (including the screen) and priced this at $99!

Yi Lite at just ₱5,000 is still the winner at this category.

    ^I agree...

GoPro should have released a bare bones action camera worth $99 (impulse buy range)

Perfect for holidays. (remember the iPod Shuffle?)

At $199, it's still too expensive.

GoPro's problem is that nobody plans to upgrade their GoPro!

saw some guides in youtube that actually converts the GoPro Hero 2018 to GoPro Hero 5, unlocking 4k at 30fps and EIS at lower resolutions, and GPS. They're saying it is essentially the same hardware with Hero 5, and they just limited it on the firmware.
