    Hi Philmug!

Will be doing web development / design at home & would like to ask what's the best external monitor (& which size) that can mimic the MBPr quality? If ever, I might have to set up the external monitor as my main one (for design) & coding + socials on the MBPr 15". If you have other set-ups for development + design, would love to hear from you too. Thanks in advance & happy holidays! :)

Hi @lishechen I personally use the ASUS VC239H, bought it on sale at Lazada. It is not a high end monitor by any means, but it does support Full HD at 1080p resolution, with a 23" screen. I am also a designer and also use an MBPr 15", I really like the monitor since it has great sRGB and accurate color representation. You can also calibrate it to represent the Apple RGB color profile depending on your preference. Hope this helps :)

Hi there! Check out Dell's line of Ultrasharp Monitors. I am using the Dell U2715H and very happy with it.

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the input :) The Dell Ultrasharp series is actually exactly what I'm looking for since the portrait mode can be helpful in coding too. Happy holidays!

Yes, I use an Ultrasharp as well (U2713HM), the input ports are very useful, especially the MiniDP where you can utilize the max resolution for the monitor from your 15" rMBP.
