I just realized something useful about GOMO's no expiry data.

This would make an awesome backup if your fiber connection goes down for whatever reason.

When my fiber went down for a week I was using up 4.5GB/day of LTE for desktop use. At 30GB that's nearly 6.6 days of data.

If you work/live in a place that experience disconnection of an average of once every 2-5 years then this is the SIM to buy.

Consume your smartphone's previous data rollover and the current monthly data allocation. Once that runs out then use GOMO.

Within 1 week the disconnection should be resolved.

Have you inserted your GOMO SIM into a router/modem/pocket wifi?

I am looking at this as a backup internet when fiber goes down.

I have this setup since last year as a backup to my Globe Fiber connection as I have 2 kids who are online schooling.
Loaded up almost 100GB into the SIM. Insert it on my Globe Pocket Wifi. Taught my kids how to turn it on just in case fiber internet went down. So far, haven’t used the 100GB yet as Globe’s fiber has been stable in our area. (y)

I am looking to run a Smart LTE unlimited data/call/text SIM (1.5k/month) in a LTE router as primary data connection while having GOMO 30GB no expire data SIM (299 per 30GB) being the failover on another LTE router.

Would anyone happen to have the email address of GOMO?

I am trying to request for an official receipt, and FAQ recommends contacting GOMO's social media channels (Facebook/Twitter). Facebook has a bot that does not understand 'receipt' and a Twitter account that does not allow receiving DMs.

They have a promo right now for 3.3.2021... unlimited 5Mbps data SIM for 499/month. That's better than Globe's SUPERSURF999 that came out in 2011 that has 0.8GB/day of data at ~5Mbps.

I read online that GOMO's SIM will work with Globe-locked devices. So it's a win-win. I save 50% and service improves.

I think after 30 days it will give you the option to 30GB of data that expires after 365 days from last load.

I purchased the new Globe Cat7 modem with LTE Advanced from Globe LazMall. Popped in my Gomo sim, and it works. Used it as a backup on my Load balancer. Just today I registered the gomo unli promo. and its not 5mpbs, hits 14mbps. normal gomo speed in my area is 130-170mbps

Wow! That's the same LTE modem we bought last year for more than 5k in black! Now it's less than 1.5k-2k? Hanep!

Wow, 5K. Was eyeing this modem for sometime now on shopee unlocked with admin access. But decided to get the locked one from globe. Pretty stable and fast even without band unlocking. I had the previous one from globe prepaid wifi cat, but that was too slow at 10mbps -42mbps max. Glad I got this new one.

I'll try to see if we can order more at less than 1.4k without prepaid SIM. Wonder if I can get it unlocked at that price.

This is the box from last June 2020

@jayparalejas could you share with us your settings?

I placed the Gomo SIM into the Huawei LTE router and it would go up to 2Mbps without external antenna and 4-5Mbps with external antenna
