I turn off my volte when I am at home. The signal changes to VoWifi. Does this mean vowifi is prioritized? I am using Globe.

I got a text message from Globe on my iPhone XR that VoLTE and VoWIFI are now enabled, hooray, and upon checking VoWIFI is indeed working since I can see it on the status bar. And in the Network selection it says Globe VoWifi. Whereas in my iPhone 12, it's still not working, Network Selection is still connected to Globe Telecom-PH.

Yes. That should work too if you want VoWiFi to be always on at home.

these are both for voice calls only. right? to improve voice quality and connection stability during calls? napansin as I check my call history, I only received 3 short calls this week and only less than 10 minutes call this July. most of my calls are from viber, fb messenger, wechat and whatsapp depends on callers locations, most local communications only via sms and viber and fb.

should I still bother to request activation of my VoLTE and VoWIFI?

VoWiFi would help with SMS especially in locations with weak cell service but with an access to a stable WiFi.

Requesting it through the GlobeOne app will just take you less than 5mins. I’ll still suggest to activate it, you’ll never know you needed it until you actually do.

Problem with iphone is you can not prioritize vowifi. I do not want to turn off volte when I get home and turn it on again everytime I go out.

Since I'm largely indoors I put my iPhone into Airplane mode to force VoWiFI so all my incoming calls & text are through Wi-Fi.

I've noticed that my text gets batch received at 330am and 12 noon. I am thinking Globe does batch receive every 30 mins?

I have experience delay in text also, which I can not afford. That is why I can not force vowifi only.

There are times where texts are indeed delayed which is annoying, but I haven't encountered this batch receiving issue. You should report it to them.

Does anyone know how to keep VoWifi from dropping to cellular when making/receiving calls?

I'm connected to VoWifi then the moment someone calls me and I answer, it instantly switches to cellular and the call gets dropped.

I heard disabling VoLTE should address this.. just wondering if this is still true?

Our building (DMCI) has a really, really horrible indoor cellular signal.

Yes, I think it still works based from my experience. I am in this kind of situation as well.
