iPhones from Globe can be unlocked when the lock-in period is up. In your specific case, since you don't appear to be willing to maintain two lines, pre-termination does seem the only option.

It is my 3rd contract with Globe (completed my 2nd one that came with iPhone 5S) I was not required to pay anything in advance. What was it for? pre-termination?

Kind of annoyed that they still don't have new LTE sim card stocks for prepaid transfer of your old number service. This has been going on for months now.

I also experience being charged again for BEMSP when I recontracted w/ MLP even if I already paid my last bill. First 211 call, no dice on the reversal. On the second one I patiently and calmly argued with the CSR for an hour, and then when he seemed to finally understood my dilemma, he instantly applied the reversal and I got a text on my phone indicating so.
Another horror story is that my friend's line got charged a 20k pre-termination fee when in fact his phone cash-out and his line is already paid in advance for 24 months. LOL.

If someone from Globe is reading this, we need your help: When would you guys have LTE replacement SIMs for prepaid lines?
I went to a number of GBCs, and I was told that they havent had these since Sept. 2015.
What puzzles me is that you guys have LTE replacement SIMs for postpaid lines, but none for prepaid... I believe, techwise, they're the same.
LTE is a great thing... thought you guys make great things possible?
I wasn't charged an advance payment, but I was charged for another month of my old plan.
Is there a problem again with globe billing system, my unbilled charges keeps getting bigger and my consumables peso value indicator is now gone in my globe online account. There is no breakdown in my unbilled charges.
