    Such a breezy recontracting lately.
    I think overstocks? Poor demand?

Requested for Xsmax 256igb Gold, Thursday with store pickup Market! Market! And was advised Thursday next week TAT.
Tried walking in Tues, unit was already there.
All done in about an hour.

Plan 999 all CTB, before only plans 1799 were allowed to CTB

The XS & XS Max sport an eSIM and nano SIM. Are those old through Globe locked to that network?

Guys who recontracted for the XS series last month please check your latest bill. There’s a 550 admin fee charge. They’re supposed to waive it for us. I just called the hotline and had mine reversed.

Recontracted yesterday at a Globe store and got my XS Max after an hour! Heard that they have stocks of almost all variants and colors.

I'm due to recontract with Globe next month. Is the XS Max worth it or should I just go with the XR instead?

Has anyone had problems with the esim not picking up LTE signal? I've had mine from Globe, and it's stuck with 3G even though the voice and call is set to LTE. I called the hotline and they said my account has LTE enabled naman. Any tips guys? :(

Demand is down actually, not only here but elsewhere. Apple says it has a fairly abundant supply of XS’s in most of its Stores but consumers aren’t buying. The fad, they say, is wearing off.

Compare this to the recent restocking of the iPhone SE2 which sold out in the US and Canada and elsewhere in a short time. Apparently most users are going back to smaller units because it gets tiresome and inconvenient using the bigger ones.

Bigger screens? Not anymore, says a recent survey about what to expect next on the iPhone. Maybe Apple is looking past Samsung’s rumored new foldable screens which will likely blast market expectations. Expect this new trend to set in once the S10s and rumored foldable and 5G phones come out during their Feb 20 event, not to mention Xiaomi and Huawei coming out with their own foldables and 5G phones at the Mobile World Congress.

For Apple, well, that’s far from being done yet while its competitors go ahead with innovations that are likely to be the trend from here on. Maybe four to six months later we’ll hear Apple do the same but in the meantime we’re left hoping they come up with a radical change in the iPhone lineup, not just new XS Pluses being heard in the horizon.

    Hi guys.

I would like to repeat a question previously asked. Are both sims locked to globe? I wanted to buy 1 and use it for globe and sun lines. But if its both locked, then buying from third party like beyond the box might be the only option for me.

I’m using a China version of the XS MAX (2 physical nano sim cards).
I love the phone, but I think you should be aware that it seems to have some difficulty with maintaining and/or capturing the LTE signal.
I use my phone’s data plan to connect my other devices to the internet.
I find that, despite having a full 5-bar LTE signal, I would be unable to have a successful connection in several areas.
At the advice of the CSR that I complained to, I tried using the same sim on my (also)LTE-enabled iPad.
To my surprise, the iPad was able to make a successful connection.
Because of this, I tried researching in the Apple community forums and saw a thread where XS MAX owners were complaining of connectivity issues (although it looked like those were more about wifi).
I’’ve not read on the XR, so I don’t know if it has similar issues.
    But FYI...

I already got my XS Max from Globe. So far, I haven't encountered the connectivity issues you mentioned. I appreciate the advice nonetheless.

This maybe because China/HK variant lacks the LTE band 28 which both Globe and Smart are heavily investing on and promoting well.

Not sure though if this is the reason. But I’m so much sure that your phone doesn’t have that Band 28.

    This sounds logical!
I checked in Apple’s website and yes, my iPhone, with model number A2104 (China Mainland), does indeed lack band 28.
    Thanks for the info dacci!

I guess this is the price of being able to use 2 physical factory unlocked nano sims...
