Based on the US price of unlocked iPhones this is how much the iPhone 8, 8 Plus & X will cost with 12% VAT over 24 months

    iPhone 8
    ₱1,670.86 64GB
    ₱2,029.42 256GB

    iPhone 8 Plus
    ₱1,909.90 64GB
    ₱2,268.45 256GB

    iPhone X
    ₱2,387.97 64GB
    ₱2,746.52 256GB

    Forex: $1.00 = ₱51.22

This excludes the cost of SMS, voice minutes and cellular data.

If you are on Platinum, you may have a unit reserved through your RM.

I’ve decided to reserve a 256 gb space gray unit with my Platinum RM and I’m on the list now. Since I still have a year to go on my contract, cash out will be between 30-40K, she says. I’ll raise some of that by selling the older model (or two).

Thinking of going the same route, Butch. Did they give you any pricing na ba? Or the 30-40K is just your estimate?

I've also reserved na, and also going with the same route as @penmanila (paying pre-term + cash-out). My RM gave me a more definite price range for the cash-out though. 64GB is 20-25k, 256GB is 30-35k. (I'm on Plan 3799, btw.) They already know the pricing, but it's not set in stone just yet so they're not giving the exact price.

Nope, what they're mentioning is the range for the cash-out price only. With that said, they say it's unofficial, so let's just hope they're over-estimating the retail price. :)

I was quoted a cash out in that same price range too by my RM. Unofficial though.

As it turns out, the 30-40k quote given me is just for the cash out. The preterm on my 7plus under Platinum Plan 5000 is another whopping 30k plus (with another year to go on the contract) so that potentially sets me up for a 70k payment plus a new two-year contract. No way! I can get a new, unlocked X/256 for 75k so it absolutely makes no sense to get one now with Globe.

Here’s the cash out price range given me by my RM:

    iPhone 8 64gb - 5k-10k
    iPhone 8 256gb - 15-20k
    iPhone 8 plus 64gb - 10k-15k
    iPhone 8 plus 256gb - 20-25k
    iPhone X 64gb - 20k-25k
    iPhone X 256gb - 30k-40k

They are discouraging you to pre term.

Yep, that's what I thought too, Butch. Too expensive to get it with preterm.

yes that is pretty much the price range what my RM also told me. She also mentioned that 1st batch of iphone X will be delivered box opened already since its the first batch. if you want to get a sealed box you can wait for the 2 batch of deliveries. I asked If I can pick it up in a Globe store she said its only for delivery. I am now thinking if I should get the X or not. Still quite pricey even if your on platinum plan.
