Hi guys, Im having my Globe GoSurf299 plan since may 2015 - I've choosen this because I needed a non capping promo. The GoSurf really runned neat for me - for now 10 month I had a 10+ mbit LTE connection and used around 300-500GB (!) each month with no problems.
And the no billshock was always giving me just around 1600+ php bills.

But yesterday my connection suddenly went down to around 64kbit - O M G - I think Im capped.
Ok last month I used a lot more bandwidth wit 4.2TB (!) - so I guess that is within the to 10 of globe users hehehe.
When I looked up my router for the txt they usually send and I found this one - I never in 10 month got this one before even when I used 500GB a month.
"Dear customer, we noticed that your plan's mobilde data allocation has been used up and your usage is now exceedingly high. To maintain quality service for all our customers, we're now shifting you to slower browsing speed until the end of the month. For higher data allocation, you may want to consider applying for a Globe Home Broadband plan via (02) 7301010. Thank you."

Today I was a the globe store to ask whats wrong - but they only told me that nothing is wrong.
My bills are paid and Im only due 1100php outstanding - but my credit limit is at 2000php so ths was never a problem before.
But they told me that the promo has only a "spending limit" of 500php - but even when I asked they didn't tell me how to and what to do to increase this "spending limit".

Question A) Does anyone know what this "spending limit"

Question B) Did anyone of you got capped before on GoSurf and received thie txt mesage? before -
As far as I still know the GoSurf Promo has no limit for data allocation - so has Globe changed this and if yes - what is now the limit ?

I'm a Globe Platinum subscriber & been a Globe user for 20 years now (with multiple lines) & I get "capped" at 3GB!!!! 3GB!!! & I'm supposed to have an unlisurf rider with my plan. it's true that I can still use the data service but it'll be throttled down after reaching 3GB.. I get a text once I reach 2.5GB that my usage is high & that they will throttle my data service once I exceed 3GB of data use. after reading your post, I should really be complaining about this.

    They changed it.

50GB for those who's covered with their antibill shock.

    So its technically 299 + ABS 1201 = 50 GB

Wait - is it GoSurf299 + the BillShock Value ? This would only give me 1.5GB + 600MB (1200php/2php per mb)

Luckily my connection is up again - but it's just 8am here and I already used up 2GB volume thanks to my running cloud backup :(

same question - i thought paying the ABS fee guaranteed you "true" unlimited data usage?

if i recall correctly, it has always been an amount of 1500 for the anti-billshock of GoSurf 999. what i'm not sure is where this 50gb limit came from - i can't see it in the FAQ page.

That's not how it works. The Anti Bill Shock value guarantees that once you exceed your data allocation (i.e. 1.5gb), you'll only pay up to 1500 for GoSurf 299-999, and only up to 3000 for GoSurf 1799 and above - regardless of how much excess data you consumed on top of your 1.5gb data allocation.

We now how ABS works but there has been a recent change (unfair on our part) but other customers already experienced being throttled after hitting 50GB data usage. No this is not in FAQs. Source is reliable when u experience it first hand and backed up by other customers too though denied by not updated Globe agents.

Sorry, I meant that "unlimited" internet in general used to be P999 (for UnliSurf and SuperSurf).
Then Globe imposed the "1GB per day or 3GB per month whichever comes first" rule because of "network congestion."
With the introduction of GoSurf and higher ABS, Globe increased "unlimited" internet prices to P1500 and P3000.
Now if Globe has silently imposed "50GB per month" because of high usage, they could very well raise prices again.

Yep! "network congestion" just really means "we need more money for the same service we're currently providing you". Haha.

Since when did this start? I haven't experienced this one yet. I got my March bill and exceeded well past 50GB without any throttling. I'm pretty sure I got past it for this month too, but still having consistent speeds here. I'm very far from @Technobilder's 4.2TB data usage though. Hehehe :D

Do take note that I'm on an older Best Ever MySuperPlan with GoSurf 999 as one of my combos. Not sure if that's related.

The 50GB data limit for GoSurf on ABS (anti-bill shock) was introduced last March 2016 according to Globe CS.

For current plans. Better use their bill shock on all-in plan. Billcap is 1200. I'm still on the old iPhone plan 2013 which is unlimited data and my all-in plan 1200 is hitting 700GB already

UPDATE: April 1st I was back online with full speed - and up to now April 13 I already reached 130GB and no txt or anything.

And I just found THIS in another forum - so maybe this is also a helpfull tip to get "unlimited"

Wife went to Gloe store to upgrade from 3Mbps to 5Mbps.
The girl at Globe tells wife "If you have business permit for your house we will upgrade you to unlimited for free"
Wife goes home, grabs sari-sari permit & now we have successfully upgraded to 5 Mbps unlimited for p1599
