    i have a stupid question..

i tagged my songs with their corresponding album art one by one. did this by saving a copy of the album art (jpeg) on my HD then attaching it one by one on itunes too. then i deleted the jpeg files from my HD when i learned that i can still view the album art on itunes/cover flow even if i deleted the file on my HD so everything went fine.

i manually transferred these songs on my ipod video. when i browse the songs on my ipod using itunes, the album art is still there but when i unplugged my ipod from my macbook and tried to listen to the songs i just transferred the album art doesn't show on my ipod.

what do you think happened? why can't i view the album art when i listen to my ipod?

btw, my ipod is formatted with windows since i get songs from my sibs too who are both windows users so i didn't bother to reformat my ipod to my mac anymore.

    anyone help? thanks in advance.

A useful short cut to attaching the same album art to multiple songs is to do the following:
    1. Select all the album songs from the iTunes playlist.
    2. Right-click or ctrl-click then select Get Info.
    3. Drag the artwork on the little box at the lower-right side of the dialog.

This will embed the artwork inside the audio files so that the ipod will be able to display the artwork. Note that embedding the artwork will increase the size of the audio files.

One way to get your album artwork in itunes is to register. Since Itunes is not available in the Philippines, you will need a workaround.

you can find the instructions here.

    http://www.tunecore.com/freealbum

Now getting your album artwork is easier, except for our OPM songs

    Dude!!! Thanks for this!

While "registering", iTunes prompted me that I already used my primary email address as an Apple account.

Not only have I reclaimed the use of my Apple account (which I think I got from registering my iBook two years ago), I now also have an iTMS account, with free music! Woohoo!

    Thanks again! ;)

Great tip! I was able to get a redeem code, use my old Apple account to login (I just had to provide a US address) and login to the iTunes Store. :D
